• aberațiune - An archaic and learned variant of the neologism 'aberație' (aberration), used in 19th and early 20th-century legal, philosophical, and medical texts to denote a severe error in judgment, a wandering of reason, or a flagrant deviation from established moral norms. In old Romanian jurisprudence, the term qualified an absurd testimony or interpretation of the law, viewed as a temporary intellectual straying of its author.
