A resource built for people who want to learn
This project started with a simple idea: knowing a word means more than knowing its definition.
A word has a meaning, a form, a context, an origin, and often a history of its own. That is why our goal is to gradually build a rich digital resource for the Romanian language, where words can be discovered and understood in a clear, accessible, and useful way.
The aim is to bring together and organize as many Romanian words as possible in one place, along with definitions, grammatical information, explanations, examples of usage, expressions, etymological information, and other relevant details.
But the project goes beyond the Romanian language.
Through English translations, equivalents, and example sentences, every word can also become a small English lesson. You can look up a Romanian word to understand its meaning and, at the same time, discover a new English word, expression, or natural way of using it.
A dictionary can become a learning tool.
