• Adamstown — The sole permanent settlement and official capital of the Pitcairn Islands, an isolated British Overseas Territory located in the southern Pacific Ocean. The locality houses the entire population of the island (a few dozen residents), primarily composed of the direct descendants of the famous mutineers from the British ship HMS Bounty and their Tahitian companions who settled there in 1790.
