#Agapetes

• Agapetes — A genus of shrubby, often epiphytic plants belonging to the Ericaceae family, native mainly to the mountainous regions of Southeast Asia and the Himalayas. These structural plants are notable for their pendulous stems, evergreen, leathery leaves, and tubular or urceolate flowers, brightly colored in shades of red, pink, or white, adapted to humid high-altitude microclimates.
• Agapetes buxifolia — A shrub species in the genus Agapetes, native to the mountainous regions of Northeast India (Assam) and Bhutan, characterized by small, oval, evergreen leaves that structurally resemble those of boxwood (Buxus), and bright red tubular flowers, often solitary or grouped in small fascicles. Structurally, the plant develops a swollen lignotuber at the base for water storage and is grown in greenhouses as a spectacular botanical rarity.
