#Aiphanes caryotaefolia
- Aiphanes caryotaefolia — The scientific and taxonomic name (a historically validated synonym for Aiphanes horrida) of a specific species of tropical spiny palm, remarkable for its pinnate leaves whose leaflets feature jagged edges and truncated tips that structurally resemble the shape of Caryota leaves (the fishtail palm). This solitary exotic plant develops a slender trunk completely covered in dense rings of long thorns and produces spectacular clusters of bright red fruits, occasionally used in international horticulture as a collectible ornamental greenhouse plant.
