#Amphion
- Amphions — An atypical plural form or regional biochemical variant designating amphions (zwitterions); dipolar molecules or ions possessing simultaneously a positive and a negative electric charge at different structural points of the same molecular structure, behaving as an ionic hybrid.
- Amphion — A legendary character in Greek mythology, son of Zeus and Antiope, and twin brother of Zethus. Gifted by the god Hermes with a magical lyre whose chords could move stones, Amphion rebuilt and fortified the walls of the city of Thebes, causing the rocks to move and stack themselves solely by the power of his divine music. He married Niobe and died of grief or committed suicide after their children were slain by Apollo and Artemis.
- Antiope — The established Romanian form for the name of several feminine characters in Greek mythology, most famously the mother of the twins Amphion and Zethos, conceived with the god Zeus; it also designates a large main-belt asteroid (90 Antiope), remarkable for its unique symmetrical binary structure.
