• Anoectochilus setaceus — The type species of the genus Anoectochilus, a rare terrestrial orchid native to the montane tropical rainforests of Java, Sumatra, and other Indonesian islands. The plant is structurally characterized by velvety dark olive-green or reddish-brown leaves decorated with finely branched gold or copper veins, and by a spectacular white floral labellum provided with long lateral fringes resembling stiff hairs (setaceous).
