#Banat dialect
- Barely / Hardly — A regional and diminutive adverbial form, used in certain local dialects (such as the Banat sub-dialect) as a variant for 'abia' or 'abieluța'. It denotes an extremely small quantity or intensity, meaning 'very little', 'hardly', or indicating a barely perceptible state (e.g., just slightly warm).
- Courtyard — A regional and archaic term used in the dialects of Banat and Western Transylvania to designate a courtyard, a yard, an enclosure, or a homestead backyard. The word originates via Ottoman filtering from Ancient Greek (aulē), reflecting the traditional spatial organization around rural houses where animals were sheltered and daily domestic activities took place; exceptionally and contextually, it could also describe a fenced perimeter such as a village cemetery.
