#Sumerian myth
- Adapa — A mythological hero and legendary wise man from ancient Mesopotamian civilization (Sumerian and Babylonian), considered one of the seven primordial sages (Apkallu) and the creator of the foundations of human civilization in the city of Eridu. According to the clay tablet myth, he refused the food and water of immortality offered by the god Anu due to a deceptive advice from the god Ea, thus losing the chance at eternal life for all of humanity.
- Anu — The supreme deity in Sumerian, Akkadian, and Babylonian mythology, regarded as the god of the sky, the father of the gods, and the supreme ruler of the cosmos; he represented absolute divine authority, cosmic order, and the source of kingly power on Earth.
