#Turkish suffix influence

• Hubbub — An expressive term utilized in the past in familiar language or certain regional dialects to describe a state of confusion, noisy agitation, fuss, organized disorder, or a chaotic mixture of things and actions done without rhyme or reason; by extension, a complicated, unserious situation or a long, useless discussion (gibberish). This word reflects the historical tendencies of absorbing Ottoman Turkish suffixes like '-lâc' applied onto onomatopoeic roots or popular rhythmic structures (such as 'ala-bala'), serving a strictly pejorative role in critiquing a lack of rigor.
