• Assisting — The act of helping and its result; the voluntary, altruistic, or institutionalized process through which support, assistance, material resources, moral backing, or intellectual guidance is granted to a person, community, or system in a state of difficulty, vulnerability, or need. Although it is a correct grammatical form obtained from the long infinitive of the verb 'ajuta', in contemporary language the term is used much more rarely on its own, being structurally replaced by more direct functional synonyms like help, assistance, or support.
