#actinograph
- Actinograph — A structural meteorological instrument utilized for the continuous and automatic graphical recording of the intensity of direct and diffuse solar radiation onto a special chart called an actinogram. The device operates based on a bimetallic or thermoelectric system sensitive to temperature variations induced by solar rays, transmitting the mechanical movement to a recording arm with a pen that traces the radiant values curve onto a rotating drum.
- Actinography — A historical medical and scientific term used in the past as a synonym for radiography or the technique of obtaining internal structural images of solid bodies using X-rays or other active radiant beams. In old applied physics, it also defined the general method of printing or recording onto a photosensitive film the chemical effects directly caused by exposure to an electromagnetic wave flux within the ultraviolet spectrum.
