#acvariofil

• Aquarist — A person passionate about aquaristics, who engages in the breeding, studying, and collecting of fish, plants, and other aquatic organisms in aquariums; as an adjective, it refers to elements or activities specific to this hobby. This specialist or amateur possesses structural knowledge of water biochemistry, species compatibility, and the ecology of captive miniature ecosystems to ensure fauna survival.
• Female aquarist — The feminine form of the term 'acvariofil'; a female enthusiast of aquaristics, actively involved in setting up tanks and caring for captive underwater ecosystems; as an adjective, it describes a passion or a female community dedicated to aquatic life. She masters complex aquascaping techniques and biological management to maintain the structural balance of the aquarium.
• Fishkeeping — A passion, constant preoccupation, or hobby consisting of breeding, reproducing, and studying fish, plants, and other aquatic organisms in controlled artificial environments; a branch of miniature bio-ecosystems closely related to aquaristics. This structural discipline involves deep knowledge of water chemistry, the biological nitrogen cycle, and the ecological balance required for species survival in captivity.
• Aquaristics — An applied science, technique, and hobby dealing with the study, setup, management, and maintenance of captive aquatic ecosystems inside aquariums. This structural discipline brings together advanced knowledge of hydrochemistry, ichthyology, underwater botany, and filtration systems engineering, aiming to faithfully replicate natural biotopes and conserve species under optimal conditions.
• Fishkeeping variant — A rare, neologistic, or erroneous phonetic variant occasionally used in hobbyist jargon instead of 'acvariofilie', designating the passion for setting up aquariums, as well as breeding exotic fish or plants in controlled artificial tanks. This structural term symbolically reunites the element 'acva-' (water) with the attraction for captive submerged ecosystems.
