- Archaic admission — An obsolete, legal, or literary form of the act of admitting and its result; acceptance, admission, or permission of a person into an institution, an association, a school, or a professional body; official recognition of a right or a state of affairs. Frequently used in 19th-century administrative jargon, this form has been replaced in modern usage by 'admitere' or 'admisibilitate'.
