#aerophobia
- Aerophobia — A pathological, intense, and irrational fear of air drafts, fresh air, or flying. In psychiatry, it is classified as a specific anxiety disorder; in neurology and infectious diseases, it represents a severe clinical symptom found in the terminal stage of rabies, where an air draft triggers painful muscle spasms.
- Aviophobia — A persistent, irrational, and intense fear of traveling by airplane or any other flying apparatus. This anxiety disorder, often correlated with claustrophobia or acrophobia, triggers severe psychological stress and acute physiological manifestations, such as panic attacks, palpitations, and hyperventilation, causing the affected person to completely avoid air transport.
