- Arvanite woman — A woman belonging to the ethnic minority of the Arvanites (a population of Albanian origin historically settled in Greece since the Middle Ages) or who is of Albanian descent; in a linguistic sense, it denotes the archaic Albanophone idiom, closely related to the Tosk dialect, traditionally spoken in parts of southern and central Greece, currently critically endangered.
