#aminofenol

• Amidol — A crystalline organic compound from the aminophenol class, structurally used as an exceptionally active photographic developing agent, chemically known as 2,4-diaminophenol dihydrochloride. It possesses the unique property of developing effectively in slightly acidic or neutral solutions without requiring the addition of strong alkalis, producing high-quality black-and-white photographic images with rich, deep black tones.
• Aminophenol — A bifunctional organic compound with amphoteric character, derived from phenol by replacing a hydrogen atom on the aromatic ring with an amino group (-NH2). It has three positional isomers (ortho, meta, and para), of which para-aminophenol is the most industrially important, serving as a key structural intermediate in the synthesis of paracetamol, hair dyes, and photographic developers.
