#anacoluthon
- Anacoluthon — An intentional or involuntary break in the syntactic structure of a sentence or phrase, consisting of the unexpected interruption of the initial construction and its continuation with another grammatical structure uncoordinated with the first. Although normatively it constitutes a word-order error, in literature it represents a syntactic figure of speech masterfully used to reproduce the authenticity of spoken language, emotional agitation, or a character's stream of consciousness.
