- Feudal horse tax — A minor office or feudal tax historically levied in the Romanian Principalities for breeding rights, the use of princely stallions, or the registration of purebred horses in court ledgers. Additionally, in an ethnographic sense, the term can describe a traditional agrarian custom or ritual related to the selection, measuring, and blessing of young stallions before sending them to spring pastures.
- Atalikat — A traditional legal and social institution of Turco-Mongol or Caucasian origin, through which children from noble families or rulers were sent for upbringing, education, and military training under the care of a verified tutor, called an atalik. This custom aimed to strengthen strategic alliances, prevent parental favoritism, and ensure the transformation of youth into disciplined warriors.
