• Aneurosis — A rare clinical term used to describe the total absence of neurotic manifestations or a theoretical state of absolute psychological balance characterized by the structural lack of repressed internal conflicts. In certain treatises of dynamic psychopathology, the concept defines an organic resistance or a functional deficit of emotional adaptation that prevents the externalization of tensions as classic neurosis.
