#angiocarpous

• Angiocarpous — Developing spores, seeds, or fruiting bodies inside a closed envelope, structurally protected from the external environment until full maturity. In mycology and botany, this structural descriptor defines fungi whose hymenia remain completely covered by a textual or cellular veil during development (such as gasteromycetes) or plants whose fruits are permanently protected by accessory structures.
