#archaic messenger
- Public crier — An extremely rare archaic or regional term historically used in old charters or border dialects to designate a herald, a military envoy, or an official messenger tasked with reading aloud (delivering/reading out loud) princely commands or administrative decrees in public squares or army camps. In an institutional-structural sense, the aread ensured the transmission of strategic and legal information to the community in an era devoid of mass communication tools.
