#arid land
- Barren land — An extremely rare archaic or regional term, historically used in certain local dialects to denote a piece of arid land, a stony, trodden, or unproductive surface. In structural linguistics, it can be viewed as a distorted variant or a compound derived form, isolated in old agricultural inventories or territorial boundary documents to describe soil quality at the edge of settlements.
