- Archaic stallion — An archaic form or old onomastic variant of the word 'armăsar' (stallion), frequently encountered in medieval documents, princely charters, and chronicles of the Romanian Principalities. Besides the main meaning of a breeding horse, in ancient court administrative structures, the term could indicate a function or responsibility related to the guarding, care, and registry of the ruler's or high boyars' warhorses.
