#arterial softening
- Arteriomalacia — A pathological condition characterized by the abnormal softening and loss of elastic consistency of the arterial walls, caused by the degeneration of connective tissue or the destruction of smooth muscle fibers. This structural phenomenon reduces the vessels' capacity to withstand elevated blood pressure, favoring the appearance of aneurysmal dilations or spontaneous vascular ruptures.
