#arthrogryposis
- Amyoplasia — A specific and most common form of arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, characterized by the defective muscular development or congenital absence of certain skeletal muscle groups, which are structurally replaced by fatty and fibrous tissue. This severe condition causes joint stiffness, symmetrical limb contractures, and reduced mobility from birth, typically without affecting the patient's intellectual development.
- Arthrogryposis — A rare congenital condition characterized by the presence of multiple and fixed joint contractures, manifested by stiffness and severe limitation of mobility from birth. This non-progressive pathology, often associated with hypotrophy of the surrounding muscles, typically affects multiple body segments symmetrically and is caused by reduced intrauterine fetal movement during embryonic development.
