• Astiuz — An extremely rare term, used historically or within restricted communities as a professional jargon or local regionalism to describe a rudimentary fixing device, a special wooden peg, or an adjustment wedge used in traditional crafts (carpentry, milling). It represents a small structural piece that serves to calibrate or lock a simple mechanism to prevent component play.
