• Anti-Spanish — Manifesting an attitude of hostility, opposition, aversion, or resistance toward Spain, the Spanish people, their culture, institutions, or imperial and geopolitical interests. Historically, the term often refers to the 19th-century emancipation movements in Latin America or the political-religious propaganda (the Black Legend) spread by rival powers during the golden age of the Spanish Empire.
