#court usher

• Court usher — A subordinate official in the old administrative and judicial organization of Moldavia and Wallachia, tasked with executing court orders, summoning individuals to trial, maintaining order in the courtroom, or guarding the gates of the princely court. In a modern, archaic-remanent sense, the term defines a doorkeeper, usher, or administrative courier in a public institution, school, or courthouse.
