#digestive disorder
- Aerogastria — A digestive disorder consisting of the presence or excessive accumulation of air or gases inside the stomach cavity, causing gastric distension, a feeling of abdominal fullness, discomfort, and frequent eructations. This condition is most often a direct consequence of aerophagia or abnormal chemical fermentation processes.
- Allochezia — A pathological symptom or condition manifested by the defecation from an opening other than the normal anus, or by the expulsion through the anus of foreign matter or objects instead of ordinary feces. This clinical phenomenon reflects severe structural anomalies, complex rectal fistulas, or congenital malformations of the lower digestive tract.
- Apepsia — A severe form of digestive dysfunction characterized by the total absence or complete cessation of pepsin and hydrochloric acid secretion in the gastric juice, leading to the stomach's inability to perform the chemical breakdown of proteins. This pathological phenomenon is frequently associated with advanced stages of atrophic gastritis and pernicious anemia.
