#dobrogea dialect

• Areapă — A rare regional name or phonetic variant utilized in certain Danubian or Dobrogean dialects to designate an aquatic bird, specifically the northern lapwing (Vanellus vanellus) or a local variety of godwit. The term is closely linked to the empirical vocabulary of hunters and fishermen in marshy zones, reflecting local onomastic adaptations.
