#earnest payer

• Earnest-payer — A person who offers or pays earnest money, a down payment, or a cash guarantee at the conclusion of a commercial transaction or verbal agreement. In old Romanian commercial law, this term structurally defined the contracting party who secured priority rights over a good or service by paying a pledge, bearing the risk of losing it in case of withdrawal.
