#echinoderms
- Ambulacral — Belonging to the ambulacrum, relating to the ambulacrum or to the water vascular system of echinoderms (such as starfish or sea urchins). The term describes anatomical elements, perforated zones of the exoskeleton, or flexible hydraulic feet utilized by these marine organisms for locomotion, fixation, respiration, and food capture in their natural environment.
- Ampullae — An adapted plural form or old variant for ampullae / ampullate structures; in biology and comparative anatomy, it designates the sac-like structures, vascular dilations, or small muscular bulbs found within the semicircular canals of the inner ear or in the water-vascular system of echinoderms. Alternatively, in some old regional dialects, it represents a popular verb form derived from 'a ampula' (to bulge or structurally inflate).
