#economic independence
- Autarkic — Based on autarky, relating to a closed economic or political system within which a community, region, or state ensures its total independence by exclusively consuming goods produced inside its own borders, refusing or minimizing external trade and imports. In an ancient philosophical sense, it describes a state of spiritual self-sufficiency and full moral independence of the individual in relation to external factors.
- Self-sufficient — Capable of satisfying one's needs through own efforts, without relying on external help or support; independent from an economic, structural, or functional standpoint. In a psychological or behavioral sense, it can carry a pejorative connotation, describing a person who is smug, arrogant, or satisfied with their own limited knowledge, showing disregard for the opinions or contributions of others.
- Self-sustain — To independently provide the material, financial, energetic, or functional resources necessary for one's own existence, development, or proper operation, without relying on external assistance, subsidies, or interventions. It is used in economics for independently profitable businesses, in ecology for ecosystems in balance, and in psychology for an individual's capacity to maintain emotional stability through their own strength.
