• Ardău — A regional term used in Transylvania to designate an inhabitant of the historical region of Transylvania (Ardeal/Transylvanian) or, in an old ethnographic sense, a traditional Romanian folk dance from the Bihor area performed with lively rhythmic steps. Additionally, in certain rural dialectal glossaries, the word denotes a large hollowed piece of wood or a massive wooden tub structurally used in households for storing liquids or grains.
