#genetic diversity
- Allogamous — Relating to plants, flowers, or vegetal species: reproducing via cross-pollination, a biological phenomenon where fertilization is achieved using pollen from another flower belonging to either the same individual or a different individual of the same species. This complex genetic mechanism prevents inbreeding, promotes hereditary variability, and enhances the descendants' adaptability to environmental shifts.
- Androdioecy — The state, condition, or biological phenomenon in which a plant population contains both exclusively male individuals and hermaphroditic individuals; sometimes used synonymously with 'androdioecy'. This structural reproductive strategy directly influences pollination dynamics.
- Anti-clonal — Opposing or preventing the formation of clones, or acting against monoclonal proliferation; a biochemical medium, substance, or ecological factor that limits the uniform multiplication of a single genetically identical organism, cellular fragment, or plant strain. In horticulture, it indicates processes that stimulate genetic variability to the detriment of uniformity through cloning.
