#hemodynamics
- Arterial — Belonging to the arteries, relating to the arteries, or occurring within these structural blood vessels; describes the oxygenated, bright red blood that is pumped from the heart to the peripheral tissues of the organism. In a clinical context, the term is used as a core element in measuring and evaluating vital hemodynamic parameters, such as circulatory pressure or flow.
- Arteriopiezography — A clinical medical investigation method, rarely used today or replaced by digital technologies, consisting of the simultaneous or successive graphic recording of arterial pressure and pulse waves using a device called a piezograph (a sensor sensitive to mechanical pressure). This technique provided valuable data regarding the elastic properties of arterial walls, left ventricular ejection dynamics, and the central hemodynamic profile of patients with hypertensive pathologies.
- Arteriopiezogram — A graphic representation obtained from an arteriopiezography, recording the variations in mechanical pressure and pulse waves produced by blood flow within an artery during the cardiac cycle. This curved diagram allows a detailed analysis of vascular dynamics, arterial wall elasticity, and the amplitude of systolic and diastolic waves, offering valuable diagnostic clues in assessing aortic stiffness or other obstructive macroangiopathies.
