#hummingbird mint
- Agastache — A genus of aromatic herbaceous perennial plants belonging to the Lamiaceae family, mostly native to North America and partially to East Asia, popularly known as giant hyssop or hummingbird mint; characterized by toothed leaves, often with a pronounced scent of mint, anise, or lemon, and dense spike-like inflorescences composed of numerous tubular bilabiate flowers. Structurally, the plants feature rigid quadrangular stems and are widely used as ornamental, medicinal, and honey-bearing plants in gardens.
- Agastache cana — A species of perennial plants in the genus Agastache, native to the semi-arid mountainous regions of New Mexico and Texas (USA), characterized by small leaves with a strong fragrance reminiscent of bubblegum or licorice, and spiked inflorescences with intense rose-purple tubular flowers. Structurally, the plant features fine grayish hairs on its leaves (the epithet 'cana' meaning hoary or gray) and has an outstanding resistance to drought, being favored in xeric gardens.
