#joint calculus
- Arthrolith — A calcareous formation or mineralized calculus formed by the gradual accumulation and deposition of calcium salts inside a joint cavity or within the structure of the synovial capsule. This type of stony concretion, often secondary to chronic inflammatory processes or local metabolic disorders, acts as a foreign body that can cause constant mechanical irritation, hydrarthrosis, and progressive reduction of mobility.
