#linguistic definitions
- Appendix — An unadapted spelling variant taken directly from Latin or English orthography (appendix), sometimes used in common parlance as a synonym for 'apendice'; a tubular prolongation of the cecum or a supplementary annex at the end of a text. In standard literary and medical Romanian, the native phonetic spelling is preferred.
- Appreciable — Considerably large, important, or valuable enough to deserve attention; capable of being clearly evaluated, felt, or measured. Frequently used in a quantitative sense to describe a noteworthy difference, amount, or progress that exceeds the limits of a negligible value.
- Aquitanian — As an adjective, it refers to historical, linguistic, cultural, or geographical elements specific to Aquitaine (a region in southwestern France) or the ancient pre-Roman and medieval population inhabiting this space; as a noun, it designates a member of this ancient tribe related to the Basques or a native inhabitant of the Aquitanean provinces.
- Chaos — A state of total disorder, chaotic mixture, jumble, or generalized confusion in which things, ideas, or people are piled together without any rule or logic. Figuratively, it describes a tumultuous agitation, a tangled vision, or a rapid and uncontrolled succession of events or thoughts that overwhelm an individual's capacity of perception.
