#medical analysis
- Bacteriological — Belonging to bacteriology, relating to the research of bacteria, or performed through methods specific to bacteriology. In medical and military contexts, the term describes laboratory analyses designed to identify microscopic pathogens (such as cultures and antibiograms) or characterizes biological weapons and risks based on the controlled dissemination of dangerous microbial agents.
- Bacteriuria — The presence of bacteria in freshly voided urine, confirmed and quantified through a urine culture test. Clinically, bacteriuria can be asymptomatic (frequent in pregnant women or the elderly, without presenting an inflammatory presentation) or symptomatic, in which case it represents a direct biological indicator of an active urinary tract infection (UTI).
