#musical interval

• Intermission — A free time interval between the acts of a theatrical play, an opera performance, or a concert, intended for the audience's rest and the preparation of scenery for the next scene. In a historical musical sense, it represented a short instrumental composition performed by the orchestra during this intermission to maintain the dramatic atmosphere of the show.
