#non-native
- Allochore — A plant or animal organism, or a biological species that populates a specific territory or geographical area following a process of artificial or accidental colonization, not being native to that place; an allochthonous entity introduced into a foreign ecosystem. The term describes the adaptive dynamics of migratory or exotic species that manage to establish and survive in new habitats.
- Allogenous — Of a different origin, born or formed elsewhere than its current location; an element (mineral, rock fragment, population, or individual) that is foreign to the indigenous environment in which it is integrated. In geology, it defines minerals transported from the outside and deposited in a sedimentary basin, while in sociology and anthropology, it refers to population groups originating from a geographic or cultural region different from the native one.
- Allogeneity — The quality or characteristic of being allogenous; the state of an element, population, or substance being of a different origin and foreign to the indigenous environment in which it is integrated. In social dynamics, it expresses the cultural or ethnic alterity of an immigrant group in relation to the native population, whereas in earth sciences, it indicates the external provenance of mineral deposits within a basin.
- Allochthonous — Having formed or originated elsewhere than its current location of deposition or existence; an element (rock mass, mineral, plant or animal species) foreign to the local environment in which it is integrated. In geology, it defines thrust sheets or sediments transported from great distances by tectonic or water forces, whereas in ecology it designates a species introduced into a biotope distinct from its native range.
- Alotrii — An archaic or regional plural form used in certain local dialects to designate strangers, people coming from other places, or members of a non-native community (the archaic equivalent of the term 'allogenous'). In the context of historical rural social dynamics, the word expressed absolute alterity and the clear structural demarcation between the indigenous mass and people of a different clan.
