#old civil code
- Habitation (archaic variant) — A learned, obsolete, or rare variant of the noun 'abitație' or 'habitație'. In old Romanian law and early translations of civil codes, the term denoted the real, legal, and non-transferable right of a person to occupy a dwelling owned by another.
- Adoption — An archaic, literary, or old legal variant of the term 'adopție', denoting the legal and solemn act establishing a civil filiation bond between an adopter and a minor. Although replaced in modern legal codes by the shorter form, the word persists in historical texts, old notary documents, or academic literary works.
- Avowal — The act of avowing and its result; official recognition, formal confession, or admission of a state of facts, a contractual obligation, or the validity of a document before a court of law. This legal term of French origin was used in 19th-century legislation and civil procedures, designating the consensual validation of a claim expressed by the opposing party.
