#parasite treatment
- Antiscabietic — Combating, treating, or curing scabies (the itch); a medication, ointment, or chemical substance used to destroy the Sarcoptes scabiei parasite. The term, although considered somewhat obsolete in modern medical vocabulary (where it is often replaced by antiscabios), is historically used in toxicology and traditional pharmacology to describe sulfur or tar-based remedies applied against parasitic dermatoses.
- Anti-flea — Destroying fleas, preventing infestation, or combating the action of these blood-feeding ectoparasites. The term applies to a wide range of veterinary pharmaceutical products, such as special collars, spot-on drops, shampoos, sprays, or chewable tablets, designed to protect pets against allergic dermatitis and flea-borne diseases.
