• Adiabene — An ancient Assyrian kingdom located in northern Mesopotamia, in the region of the Tigris and Greater Zab rivers, which structurally functioned as a vassal state or autonomous province within the Parthian and Sasanian Empires; it is renowned in universal historiography due to the official conversion of its royal dynasty (rulers Monobaz I and Queen Helena) to Judaism in the 1st century AD. This territory represents an essential historical landmark for studying political and religious interactions in the ancient Near East.
• Arsacids — Members of an ancient Iranian royal dynasty, founded by Arsaces I, who ruled the Parthian Empire from the 3rd century BC to the 3rd century AD. This dynastic lineage consolidated a powerful and decentralized state, noted for its long-lasting military resistance against the expansion of the Roman Empire and for its Hellenistic-Persian cultural syncretism.
