#pastoral terminology
- Watering station — A specially designed place, usually large, equipped with long troughs and basins near a river or a well, intended for the collective watering of flocks or herds of cattle; it can also designate a primitive waterer or the massive, organized act of hydrating livestock in a pastoral community.
- Alomaș — An archaic or regional term found in certain local dialects to describe a type of shepherd, baci's assistant, or sheepfold worker tasked with guarding and caring for a specific group of animals; alternatively, it may represent a corrupted or popularly derived variant of old pastoral terms. In the structural ethnographic context, the word reflects the traditional internal organization of labor in isolated mountain communities.
