- Anti-war — Opposed to war, militarism, and armed violence between states; pacifist. As an adjective, it characterizes social movements, street demonstrations, works of art (literature, cinematography), or political discourses campaigning for the diplomatic resolution of conflicts, global disarmament, and the preservation of peace. As a noun, it denotes a person who actively participates in pacifist movements and condemns military aggressions.
