#resting stop
- Waiting spot — A rare regional or archaic term designating a specially arranged place for a halt, a rudimentary wooden bench located at the gate of a rural household or at a crossroads where passersby or travelers can stop to rest or wait for someone. In certain isolated subdialects, the word can also describe a long interval of time spent in expectancy, a forced delay, or a person's state of watchfulness.
