• Akhmatova — The surname of the famous Russian poet Anna Akhmatova (1889–1966), one of the leading figures of Russian modernism and a prominent representative of the Acmeist movement. Her work, marked by a deep, sober lyricism and a highly precise structural technique, reflects the personal and collective tragedies during the Stalinist regime, with her monumental poem 'Requiem' being considered a masterpiece of spiritual resistance through culture.
• Akmeism — A modernist literary movement that emerged in Russian poetry at the beginning of the 20th century (around nineteen twelve), as a firm structural reaction against the mystical ambiguity, vagueness, and abstraction specific to symbolism; it is distinguished by the cultivation of an absolute neoclassical clarity of expression, verbal conciseness, visual plasticity of images, and the faithful depiction of the material and sensory world. Founded by emblematic poets such as Nikolai Gumilyov, Anna Akhmatova, and Osip Mandelstam within the 'Guild of Poets' association, this movement advocated rigorous technical craftsmanship and formal balance, raising the word to its concrete, original poetic value.
• Acmeist — A poet, writer, or literary theorist belonging to akmeism or creating in accordance with the aesthetic principles of this Russian modernist movement from the early 20th century; as an adjective, it describes a work, text, or artistic technique characterized by absolute neoclassical clarity, rigorous verbal conciseness, and a focus on the visual plasticity of the material world. This type of creator, historically exemplified by Nikolai Gumilyov or Osip Mandelstam, consciously rejected the mystical ambiguity of the symbolists, raising poetic craftsmanship to a structural discipline of high lexical precision.
• Female Acmeist — A woman who is a poet, writer, or direct adherent to the aesthetic principles of akmeism; as an adjective, it represents the feminine singular form of the adjective 'akmeist', defining a poem, artistic vision, or literary work crafted with absolute structural clarity and rigorous formal workmanship. In the universal history of literature, this title is indissolubly linked to the monumental persona of Anna Akhmatova, who translated the movement's ideals into verses of deep emotional intensity, yet controlled with geometric precision and impeccable neoclassical sobriety.
